
The Supreme Court, stuffed with judges loyal to Musharraf, took just under an hour to dismiss the case, and the Pakistani General is expected within days to doff his army uniform and swear a new oath of office as a civilian for another five years.
The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed five of the six petitions challenging Musharraf's qualification to contest the presidential elections while in uniform, leaving only one to be heard on Thursday.
